History -
Used thousands of years ago across South-East Asia. Patchouli was highly valued during the Silk Road era. As well as being used as perfume, patchouli leaves were wrapped with silk fabrics on their journeys to repel moths and insects. It is also believed to have aphrodisiac properties.
